Paolo Rezzonico

I was born in 1957 and, already as a young boy, I accompanied my father when he fished.

At age 15, I bought my first fly fishing combo at a supermarket in Zurich and it is still in my possession. My career in fly fishing began with self instruction.

In the 1980s I moved to southern Switzerland and joined there the (CPMT) Ticino Fly Fishing Club where I have been a member for over 30 years.

In 2005, I encountered the friends of the S.I.M. Suisse who showed me the Italian Casting Style. I said to myself that I still had a lot to learn after 30 years of fly fishing!! But, after driving thousands of kilometers and many hours of work, I have been a SIM instructor since 2010.

I fish mostly for trout and grayling in the rivers and streams of southern Switzerland and sometimes for pike and such. Every year, friends and I take fly fishing trips out of the country to places like Mongolia, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Alaska, Canada, etc.

My motto is:  You have never finished learning in fly fishing!!
