This week’s episode of The Best Bags of New York Fashion Week Fall 2024: Day 3… This weeks episode of.
Miranda and Steve finally clear the air—albeit not in the most peaceful way possible—and agree to mutually move on, right before Che decides to break things off with Miranda. Nya, on the other hand, starts working on her divorce papers while Charlotte deals with her daughter Lily’s decision to lose her virginity.
Finally, in a much-awaited development, Carrie also reaches out to her ex-fiancé Aidan, whom she hasn’t seen in 13 years.
But it’s Lisa and Herbert’s scenes that deserve special attention. Fans have been watching the couple navigate their relationship as she asserts her desire and right to propel her career forward despite Herbert’s decision to run for city comptroller, a role that will undoubtedly affect the entire family unit.
In this particular episode, Lisa doesn’t back down from her position, braving a very New York-like snowstorm in a phenomenal outfit in order to attend an event thrown at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in her own honor. The bag she dons while battling the weather is perhaps the most outstanding purse seen in the whole episode—but more caught our eye as well.
Mansur Gavriel Desert M Frame Box Bag
There isn’t a single outfit or bag, for that matter, worn by Seema on the show that we don’t absolutely love. In this episode, while helping Carrie shop for a new laptop, the character dons a top-notch brown ensemble that includes Mansur Gavriel’s boxy shoulder bag that’s unfortunately sold out everywhere in this exact color.
Valentino Garavani One Stud Tote
Lisa’s entire aura in this episode is something to note. In one particular scene, the character treks in a bomb cyclone to get to the MoMa wearing Celine (skirt), Balmain (cape), Paula Rowan (gloves), and Dries van Noten (boots) all at once—but it’s her bright pink Valentino bag that we cannot stop staring at.
Chanel Tweed Braided Calfskin Mini My Own Frame Flap Bag
We’ve lost count of how many Chanel bags Charlotte has worn on the show until now, but this one’s certainly one of our favorites. A note about the character’s storyline in this episode, which sees Charlotte running around town in a bomb cyclone looking for condoms for her daughter Lily. Whether agreeing with Charlotte’s attitude towards her teenage daughter losing her virginity or not, we find this to be a very on-brand plot point. After all, the Get In Touch reboot has promised to dissect the issues that New York women in their 50s are currently dealing with—and teenage sex is certainly among them.
Phillip Lim 3.1 Studded Frame Clutch
Carrie asks Che to accompany her at what is but shouldn’t be referred to as WidowCon, where she reads an excerpt from her latest book about the death of her husband. Although the Phillip Lim bag that she wears to the event is certainly a standout, we’d be remiss not to mention the Moncler coat gown that the character wears just a few scenes before while trying to get to the reading in the snow: a true Carrie Bradshaw fashion statement.
