Loewe’s Spring 2023 collection made its debut last October and sent the fashion world into a floral-filled daze. In part, Jonathan Anderson designed the spring collection with the anthurium flower in mind, which inspired many of the pieces, both literally and figuratively. Now, ahead of the collection’s launch in stores, Loewe has released a stunning collection of campaign images, reflecting the act of posing as form.
Reality or Illusion?
Anderson tapped LOEWE Global Brand Ambassador Taylor Russell to star in this campaign, shot by photographer David Sims. The creative direction for this shoot maximizes the idea of body language and showcases how acting and posing can bring an item to life. Is it a reality, or is it an illusion? Leave it to the viewer to decide.
This collection pushes the limits, and Anderson continues his exploration of design and Loewe’s storied leathercraft. Images showcase the latest bags from Loewe, with a heavy focus on new iterations of the loewe anagram small hammock bag item, and the latest bag from Loewe, the Paseo Bag. Equal parts elegant and functional, the Paseo bag is a soft, elongated leather carryall with gorgeous pleats and exaggerated knotted handles. Making its debut for SS23, it comes in a few variations. Other bags encapsulate Loewe’s core House codes, like a woven shopper tote and the classic Puzzle Bag.
