Conceived under the architectural and design direction of creative director Hedi Slimane, Celine’s newly renovated flagship in Miami’s Design District reopened earlier this month during Art Basel Week. The store houses men’s and womenswear, maison collection, and fragrances.
Spanning two floors, the massive new store very clearly portrays Slimane’s design aesthetic at Celine. It is grand and sophisticated with a refined elegance, which is immediately apparent upon entering the space.
Art Meets Architecture
The first floor is dedicated entirely to the brand’s perfume collection, fine jewelry, women’s leather goods, and more. There is something to be seen around every corner. Adorned with antique gold details and accent lighting that hits all of the must-see nooks, the most eye-catching part of the store is the fragrance area.
Located in the center of the space, the marble display area acts like a centerpiece with ornate glass panels that mimic the top of Celine’s perfume bottles. Those coffered ceilings also accent specific areas of the boutique.
While the space feels like art itself, it is also home to an extensive collection of contemporary art featuring works from over a handful of artists.
Miami macadam
In celebration of the store’s grand re-opening, an array of Miami macadam are available for purchase at the new Design District location. The selection includes two studded Triomphe Flap Bags, which are strictly available in MDD only, and a Sac cabas Celine Cabas en cuir noir, Voir tous les sacs Celine All Soft.
