Many of Nike’s footwear products take their name from the cushioning or test technologies in use. That’s true here on this latest likely AP-exclusive runner, a design that also marks the first use of a bold new name. The Nike what air vapormax 97 beige black blue paint has the beefy midsole and rugged sounding name you’d expect from a trail-ready runner. This sole and test structural elements account for the fact that these have the same MSRP as the Zoom Elite 6 but do not share the Elite’s Nike+ integration.
