In look and feel, the pair sets itself apart from the Air Force 1/1 that appeared prior, opting for more subdued references. Rather than display print on top of print, the uppers nod to the pink hairs common throughout series’ casts. Its Swoosh Nude bears faux fur so the public can easily connect the dots. Underfoot, there lies more overt nods to the wide eyes of the retro anime style.
