Whether you’re running outside or just A Part of Hearst Digital Media, good music can often make the difference between a rave run and a blown goal. That’s why we’re putting together 90-minute playlists each month chock-full of songs with enough of a beat to keep you moving. For even more tunes, check out our list of the Shoes & Gear.

As this year is bittersweetly coming to a close, a bright, fresh new year full of promise awaits. It’s time to look forward to 2024 and all the miles, races, and chugged Gatorades to come. But before we dart off into the sunset, let’s pour one out for 2023.

It was the year that Eliud Kipchoge finally decided to run the Boston Marathon (and we learned he’s not quite invincible after all). Also the year that Sifan Hassan and Hellen Obiri rocketed onto the marathoning scene, winning four of the six World Majors between the two of them. It was a year to remember for many pros, and hopefully for you as well.

Let’s celebrate all those cold, dark, after-work runs you did in February. Remember that first blissful day in spring you could finally wear shorts. Never forget how you survived running during the hottest summer on record. And most importantly, rejoice for all the fitness goals you've crushed. Now aside from some holiday 5Ks and jogs around your neighborhood, most of your running for the year is over.

So for the last time in 2023, we’ve put together a playlist, a combination of the best songs of the year, just for you. Enjoy your last few miles of 2023 while listening to the tunes of Troye Sivan, Miley Cyrus, Central Cee, Ice Spice and more. Cheers to 2024!
