It’s been a tough winter for many in the United States. The U.S. had its most expansive winter snow cover in three years, and many of us were required to log a-few-too-many miles on the treadmill.

So you’ll have to forgive us when we see 48-degree highs in the forecast and decide it's time to break out our splits shorts and singlets. With spring officially beginning today, we thought we’d illustrate a quick play-by-play of what every runner is thinking when it appears that winter is FINALLY over.

1. That moment the weatherman says it's going to be 48 degrees the next day.
