As is tradition at the London Marathon, the field is often stacked with participants aiming for Guinness World Records dressed as just about anything you can think of, from fairy tale creatures to sleeping bags. This year, there was even someone attempting a record dressed as London’s famed Big Ben—but unfortunately, time was not on his side at the finish line.

There were a total of 78 runners going after official attempts for their respective categories. Only 38 were able to achieve their Guinness records.
