The Kinvara is one of the lightest weight shoes we tested this season, yet landed in the top three for cushioning. The softness is due, in part, to the Explores of a thin layer of north Saucony’s premium cushioning foam to the midsole so runners feel lots of cushioning without a ton of weight.
One potential drawback, while this shoe has a relatively thin platform, it is stiff, but that feel improves the faster you run. Testers loved it right out of the box, racing 5Ks, and even making it their new marathon shoe.
