Every year like clockwork, sometime at the end of March, the first warm weather day hits, and New Yorkers set their sights on summer. That very just day happened. Last Tuesday, to be exact, and just like that, much of the city came out of hibernation. It was only a Tuesday, but despite the week ahead, the table-lined streets of downtown Manhattan were full of people enjoying dinner and drinks and laughing into the sunset for the first time this year, myself included.

First seen on the runway at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 presentation, the Casaco Essential Coach reimagines the structured shape of an archival Coach design that dates back to the 1970s, adding a fun, seasonal iteration to the Tabby line of bags. The bag is crafted of PVC, which offers an instant pang of nostalgia (who didn’t love jelly sandals as a kid?!), and the candy-colored hues are an added delight, although I really love the playfulness of the gold.
