This year’s Tour de France is in full swing and with Lance Armstrong currently sitting in third place, his LIVESTRONG diagonal-logo hooded jacket, Nike Sportswear’s LIVESTRONG mulher has taken many of Nike’s rare and classic models and given them a Black/Yellow LIVESTRONG makeover. To coincide with the ongoing race, Frank Liew and the Qubic crew created a beautiful installation that features the Nike footwear mulher with a backdrop featuring a profile map of Stage 20 of the race (Montelimar – Mont Vernoux), which is one of the race’s most arduous stretches and a symbolic reminder of the struggles that Armstrong himself continues to overcome. Some other things of note were a yellow deconstructed bicycle and tools on the wall and also that many of the sneakers were encased in glass along with some history on each.
