M 7.5 / W 9 October 14th, 2024 updated, he’s tasked with implementing some functional revamps to already-existing models part of the seasonal line-up. We’ve already previewed several GT-2160 colorways coming your way this fall, alongside the higher-priced GEL-Quantum Kinetic for those who want to creep a bit closer to the Kiko x ASICS legacy; now a brand new model enters the Kiko Kostadinov Studio factory — the Awake NY x Air Jordan 5.
The full-length GEL-cushioned running shoe, which originally debuted in 2013, is next in line. Kiko adds the trademark asymmetrical pull-tabs on the tongue while encouraging some unique colorway options that are atypical of the ASICS brand. Beneath the overlays is a porous mesh layer, hitting on the sporty performance-meets-fashion crosshairs.
Seen in these preview images is a White/Red colorway as well as the Yellow/Black version, with several more likely coming in Holiday 2024 and into early 2025.
