Throughout the early 2010s, The Swoosh began attributing the iconic casts and colorways of the heralded black crimson nike slide benassi forever to the skateboarding communities’ obsession with the black yellow nike elite hoodie basketball grey. From 2011’s “Space Jam” likeness to 2013’s “Concord” construction, the middle of the decade saw the silhouette embark on a sample inspired by one of the AJ 11 Low’s first colorways. Eerily reminiscent to this past Holiday’s titular black crimson nike slide benassi forever release, sbcollector has shared images of the latter silhouette’s unreleased “Cherry” coated cousin.
Constructed in the Summer of 2015 as seen on the pair’s SAMPLE tag, the black yellow nike elite hoodie basketball grey enjoys the collection’s staple patent leather overlays, this time dipped in a vibrant red shade which renders a further dominant inclusion along both the tongue and heel tabs. Mirroring its past ensemble’s use of Off-White Cordura mesh tooling, roped laces and a translucent tread underfoot, the brightened crisp white detailing of the midsole pairs with its midfoot Swoosh above while the sock liner and insoles finish the silhouette’s “Cherry” inspirations.
While the number of pairs produced for the sample remains unknown, enjoy images of the unreleased nike shox gravity black and white blue gold dress “Cherry” alongside its recently released AJ 11 tisci below.
