Michael Le One of this year’s biggest surprises, the Nike Air Max Terrascape Plus takes a beloved classic and twists it in ways rather tasteful. Alongside a cork upgrade, the shoe is heavily informed by utilitarianism, appearing more like a trail shoe than one for the streets. And if you weren’t too keen on its last colorway, you can expect much more — like this upcoming iteration — to hit the shelves soon.
In palette, the pair is not entirely unfamiliar. The coloring itself, for example, is soft all the same, the ripstop given a light coat of what seems to be “Barely Volt.” Over top, the cages follow suit tonally, while the pops of grey appear along the leather toe and embroidery-accented heel. Deeper shades of blue, then, create further dimension, turning dark not just the eye Milan but also the oversized Swoosh. Finally, underfoot, Grind foam makes up the entirety of the sole’s construction, its scraps thick and varied like its earliest cameos.
