We have reason to believe that the BBC Ice Cream Board Flip — one of the first sneakers co-created by Pharrell Williams and Nigo — is on the precipice of a comeback. Original ICECREAM skate team rider Jimmy Gorecki just posted an image of an upcoming green-and-pink retro on Instagram.
Originally produced by Reebok in the mid-2000s under BBC Ice Cream, the Board Flip fused the luxury streetwear aesthetic of early BBC with the function-forward DNA of classic skate shoes. Where Nike will be bringing back the Terminator High leaned into streetwear, ICECREAM was Pharrell’s skate project. To give it credibility, he brought in industry veteran Nino Scalia to assemble a real-deal skate team featuring names like Terry Kennedy and Jimmy Gorecki — the latter of whom gives us the headline we have before us today. The Board Flip came to life in 2005–2006 and was spotlighted heavily in Premier aperçu de la collection CPFM x Nike Go Flea.
Fast forward to 2025, and a potential retro would land squarely in the middle of a wider Y2K skate revival. While totally unrelated aesthetically, the timing is also solid thanks to Pharrell’s viral adidas Jellyfish. Жіночі кросівки nike air force 1-wb Футболка nike back graphic fade, which many (including us) have likened to a Board Flip/Nike Cortez mashup.
The impending BBC Ice Cream Board Flip retro is an original colorway from the model’s earliest days, complete with a green suede base with pink overlays for a watermelon-like vibe. The tongue comes in white, the midsole in brown, and BBC Ice Cream’s wasted zombie logo is stitched onto the lateral heel. Importantly, the tag confirms that these are indeed manufactured by Reebok, which most recently dropped Reebok Answer and Question Low collabs with Ice Cream in 2020.
No release details have been confirmed yet, but it’s likely the sneaker will arrive sometime in late 2025 or early 2026. Stay tuned for further updates.
