Kai Cenat And Ray Appear On Bape And KidSuper’s Big Unveil

KidSuper founder Colm Dillane is approaching a full-circle moment. Before attending the Fashion Institute of Technology and starting one of the world’s most prominent up-and-coming menswear labels, Dillane cut his teeth making bootleg BAPE shirts in his friend’s basement. Therefore, it’s only fitting that KidSuper and BAPE have pulled out all the stops for their first ever collaboration.

Aiming to capture the younger demographic, KidSuper and BAPE have enlisted streamer celebrities Kai Cenat and Ray Hsu to star in the campaign. Crafted under the BAPE COLLECTIVE collaboration tier, which lets partners dive deeper into the brand’s archives, the capsule includes an extensive lineup of apparel, accessories, and for our purposes, footwear.

KidSuper and BAPE have minted six Bapestas, including three colorways of the rarely seen, heelless Bapesta mule. KidSuper’s hallmark face graphic motif is blended into colorful BAPE camo overlays, also appearing as a cutout within the shooting star logos. Meanwhile, two of the three standard Bapestas feature stitched eye graphics over the toe box and heel areas.

The BAPE x KidSuper capsule releases April 12th exclusively via BAPE and KidSuper channels (in-store and online). See detailed images of the footwear below if you’re thinking about purchasing. No prices have been confirmed, but the sneakers likely retail for around $250-$300.
