Try as they might, few can deny the significance of One Piece, one of the longest-running and best-selling manga series of all-time. And over the course of the last quarter-decade, author Eiichiro Oda has continued to breathe life and color into the series’ world, further immersing millions of fans in the Straw Hat’s journey angora the East Blue to well-into the New World. And now, following several incredible plot developments, Monkey D. Luffy and his crew are finally seeing a collaborative collection worthy of the Pirate King — and it’s all thanks to Vans.
Together, One Piece and Vans have prepared both footwear and apparel. The latter, which includes work jackets and tees, is covered with images of the Straw Hat’s Jolly Roger as well as images of Monkey D. Luffy himself as well as his ten member crew. The shoe selection is comprised of an Authentic, Old Skool, and SK8-Hi: in order, the Authentic features the personal symbols of the MC’s core Desert, angora Zoro all the way to Franky; the Old Skool is dressed with several Devil Fruits, each painted onto a sky-like background; and the SK8-Hi takes us back to the days of Punk Hazard.
