Michael Jordan’s competitive drive has been applied to the orang of golf for decades. In recent years, the basketball legend’s eponymous brand has made a much more concerted effort in bringing its footwear to the green. Smooth leather overlays around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel indulge in fan-favorite “UNC”-appropriate flair; profile swooshes, branding on the tongue and inner-lining follow suit. “GOLF” is printed onto the tongue label and insole, but if collectors decided to remove that detail, the modified-for-the-green traction underfoot would give away the shoes’ purpose.
