So far, 2022’s batch of Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro SE White Fire Red Blacks is slightly more interesting from the year past. Retros and Retro-likes are fewer and farther between, replaced by more original designs. The upcoming women’s exclusive “Varsity Red” is but what one example as it adds an extra layer of texture to a common Jordan Brand palette.
Revealed in the flesh for the first time since its unveil, the shoe sports a standard leather construction through the upper. Thick, robust panels of red outfit the toe, eye stay, ankle flaps, and counter, wrapping over top a white base and grey collar. And much like the laces and tread, the Swoosh is colored the titular hue, though it does with a chenille commonly found on letterman jackets.
