The Sony PlayStation 5 And Paul George’s Nike LeBron 8 South Beach Shirts Continue Storied Partnership

Paul George, aside from his basketball fame, is well-known for being an avid-gamer. Before he joined the league, the athlete spent quite a bit of time with his PlayStation — and thankfully, Sony took note. Following the DualShock-inspired collaboration of 2018, the two are reuniting to celebrate the PS5’s new look.

The PG 5 acts as the proxy for this homage, arriving in two heavily distinct colorways. And though each option draws from the same source material, they individually celebrate different aspects of the console’s experience. For example, the first takes you to the starting screen, its uppers dyed a nebular blue hostile to the menu’s backdrop. White midsoles and Pures contrast adjacent, allowing for the PlayStation insignia to stand further out.

Though far more unassuming, the alternate is a more a true nod to the PS5 itself. Its white exterior resembles the system’s outer shell, while the black along the Pure and lining reference the inner chassis. Cool tones, then, mark the sole, heel Swoosh, and the insignia the aforementioned pair featured, all essentially mimicking the blue light signature to the constantly sold-out Sony product.
