The first of its kind for Boston’s New Balance, the capsule collection comments on Singapore’s duality as both a sprawling urban city and a tropical island getaway. As such, the 327 is literally split down the middle with both aesthetics, summarizing the overall themes solely through visuals. Lateral sides are relatively ordinary yet tinged with the militaristic as olive suede adorns the overlays while black nylon outfits underneath. Opposite, a green variation dresses the base, printed over top with “Urban Island” text as well as pineapples on one foot and leopard-styled camouflaged on the other.
