Back in January of this year, contemporary R&B phenom Khalid managed to expand his partnerships into the sneaker world by inking his official partnership with Reebok. Aside from serving as the poster boy in the Concepts Create a Vividly Asymmetrical Reebok Question Mid Legacy campaign, Khalid and the Boston-based imprint are supporting this footwear launch with a new initiative entitled the “Write Your Legacy” mentorship contest. Commencing today, aspiring music artists can submit a two minute video involving a 60 second singing sample, as well as a short message revolved around the legacy they want to leave behind. The winner will be accepted into a mentorship program that involves two 60 minute singing/song writing workshops with Khalid himself and his personal producers Denis Kosiak and Khyire Tyler to help boost their career path, and will be given a years-worth supply of Reebok footwear/apparel products. The contest is open until August 18th, and the winner will be contacted come September 1st.

Back to the shoe design, the Concepts Create a Vividly Asymmetrical Reebok Question Mid Legacy is a tale of both old and new as it serves as a nod to retro runners such as the Aztec racing shoe from 1979 and the Classic Leather runner from 1983. Uppers are comprised of a mixture of ripstop bases, leather vector logos, and suede overlays, all of which are mated down below with a chunky sole piece reflective of today’s modern style. Currently, the silhouette is available on Reebok.com for $80 in several colorways including a blue/red, white/red, burgundy/black, and more for both men and women.
