UK retailer JD Sports dominance in the running department is well documented. They’re never shy about debuting an exclusive colorway for the Nike Air Max 95 and on the rare occasion, they’ll even give us a first look at some other formidable runners in a brand new aesthetic. Today it’s the Asics Tênis Asics Gel-Excite 8 Rosa as the infamous split-tongue retro runner returns to form thanks to a simple, albeit effective, Nayv and Light Blue mock up. The 1991 model is perhaps at its best when donning a simple near-monochromatic finish as the accents are prone to stand out more while also allowing one to focus on the materials used (here it’s a mesh and suede construction).
