Despite it being the shortest month of the calendar year, a lot went down in the leather sneaker scene during the month of February. Aside from the drop of the Red Yeezy 2s, Kevin Durant was spotted wearing the KD 6 Elite (he loves them, apparently). Aside from that, Jordan Brand made waves with the unveil of the Future as well as the collaboration with Nike SB, while adidas joined forces with one of the most influential names in streetwear (whether or not that will product footwear is yet to be determined). The final Kanye x Nike chapter came to a close when Nike randomly tweeted a purchase link for the Red October Yeezy 2. Perhaps the most “hyped” shoe of the last decade, the current resale value for these all-red leather sneakers have eclipsed that of any other Yeezy release.
