The buzz on this one wasn’t built on hyped up colorways or exclusive releases, this shoe relied on on-court performance to make a name for itself. Originally slated as the first Kobe signature (a plan that was derailed by a certain blemish on his public image), this sneaker brought the Huarache technology to a new generation of athletes and remains a highpoint of design for Nike over the past decade. After this year’s iD treatment, Nike will be bringing them out of the vaults come Summer 2012, in a gang of new colorways with construction that hopefully remains true to the OG’s.
