Very good for long runs and you really don't lose too much speed from the thick foam and lack of push forward springiness. If you want a little more stability with a (less) thick fresh foam WL720EB, the NB1080 is the perfect (new) balance between the two. Good for bunions, blisters or sensitive spots. You don't need to upsize but the 2E is a good idea if you have any foot issues (or to switch to, when you do) or allow you to wear double or thick sox. The circumferential pads on the bottom keep you from slipping side to side. Is a knee or hip problem worth a minute or two faster runtime? For older runners and more than 15 miles per week; not for young, personally competitive runners.
