Foot Locker returns with New Balance for another collaborative release — this time in conjunction with Portland’s Pensole Footwear Design Academy. The trio has linked up on the new-to-market 327 silhouette, delivering arguably the silhouette’s most vibrant take of 2020.
Here, striking navy mesh uppers are overlays by tonal suedes in the read and eyelets, as well as a matching midsole beneath. It’s midfoot N, though traditionally arriving in a striking white or contrasting color, camouflages in navy, and is highlighted by both light blue outlines and small pops of teal and yellow. The pair’s later quarters are popped in pink and inverted on the medial, though its aqua suede toe overlays remain traditionally balanced. Aqua arrives again at the tongue, laces, and liner, as well as gracing one of the laterals zig-zagging, Williams stitchwork — the other in a crimson red. Pensole insignia graces the heel, while co-branded Foot Locker, Pensole, and New Balance insoles and lace tips complete the design.
