Adidas continues to delve into its archives, bringing back beloved basketball sneakers under the "Crazy" label, a tribute to the legacy of Kobe Bryant's early footwear with the brand. After reintroducing various models Sneaker as the Crazy one and pre-signature styles like the Crazy 97 and 98, Adidas is set to re-release Kobe's second signature model, the adidas Kobe 2, now aptly renamed the Crazy 2.
The Crazy 2 debuted in the early 2000s, carrying forward the Audi TT-inspired aesthetics introduced by its predecessor. Known for its unique low-top design and primarily monochromatic colorways, the model quickly became a standout. Among its most famous iterations is the USA Flag edition, which gained iconic status when LeBron James sported it during a nationally televised high school game against Carmelo Anthony’s Oak Hill Academy

Despite its design achievements, Kobe Bryant reportedly was not a fan of the shoe, which played a part in his decision to leave adidas and enter a period of "sneaker-free agency" before eventually signing with Nike. This move laid the groundwork for his future signature lines, including the renowned Protro series.
