As reported last year, adidas will be honoring the late Kobe Bryant through reissues of his short-lived adidas linage throughout 2022 and beyond. Now, one of Kobe’s most famous colorways from the Three Stripes is set to return, with first looks and release confirmation of the adidas Crazy 1 “Stormtrooper” coming today.
The bulky Audi TT-inspired Kobe 1 took on the Stormtrooper moniker thanks to its resemblance to the famous Star Wars vision; a plasticy-like white shell upper paired with pops of black and silver made it an easy comparison. For 2022, you can expect a fairly similar release to the OG, save the name, which has been rebranded the Crazy 1 to avoid any courtroom drama with the Kobe Bryant estate.
