A run streak can seem intimidating because it’s a daily run, but don’t let that get to you. This is a fun way to stay connected to our running community and to help keep you getting in your miles during a busy holiday season. Remember, it’s just 1 mile and it’s only for 39 days. You can do this.

Let’s have some fun! See you in the streak.

To the serious racer who is all business and no play:

Dear Racer,

Running is amazing! You already know that. That’s why you have a big race on the calendar and are diligently following your training plan. Have you considered adding in a #RWRunStreak during your training? If you’re quick to shake off the idea, I just want you to hear me out on a few things.

  • Via Roma 15 slip-on leather boots Black fun way to bring community, joy, and silliness into your training. Fun and silliness might sound, well, silly, but the truth is, you will run better when you have joy doing it. If there’s too much pressure on performance, running feels stressful and not enjoyable. Doing the run streak will break up the serious feel of your training but still allow you to predominantly focus on your goal race coming up while having a little fun in the run streak!
  • Don’t want to add extra mileage to your training plan? Good news for you is that you’re probably already running 5 to 6 days a week. That means you just need to add in 1 mile on your off day. Try keeping this run to Trainers CALVIN KLEIN JEANS Low Cut Lace-Up Sneaker V3B9-80115-1355 M Beige White X044 and keep the effort nice and easy. Use this one mile as a chance to have moving mediation and a short part of your day that you keep just for you. The effort should be low so it will have no effect on your race training.

To the “I’m too busy” runner who doesn’t have time to run every day:

I know budgeting time every day to get out the door for a run sounds like an impossible task, but that’s exactly why I want you to try! One of my favorite things about the #RWRunStreak is seeing the fun and creative ways runners tackle their miles, even in the most challenging circumstances. Running every day is possible, but it requires some planning. Here are a few tips that can help you find success in your 39 days of consistent running during the #RWRunStreak.

  • Plan ahead and do your best to try and stick to the same time frame to get out for your run. This will help establish consistency in your schedule and will develop a routine around your run streak which will start to generate success and a meaningful feeling of completion.
  • Schutz Shary sandals children, it becomes even more challenging to get out the door for a run. If you find yourself in a pinch, bring the family with you! If the weather and time of day are appropriate, make it a fun opportunity for everyone to go out and tackle a mile.
  • zapatillas de running mujer talla 40, errands, or your social meet-ups on the calendar. This is an easy way to get in your miles, just make sure to budget enough time to get where you need to go and still have a little time left to freshen up afterwards.
  • Keep your running gear handy so when the opportunity to streak presents Platforms, you can hop right up and go! Don’t miss a chance to get in your streak just because you weren’t prepared. Keep a running outfit and shoes in your car, at work, or have it handy for those early morning wake-ups so you don’t waste time searching for something to wear.

Being busy is a decent excuse, but it’s not a good enough one to miss out on a run streak. I’m not going to let you get away that easily! Unless of course, you simply don’t want to streak. That part is up to you.

But if you find a streak exciting, and want to challenge yourself with a 1 mile a day opportunity to prove to yourself and others that you have what it takes to get it done? Bring it on!

A run streak is challenging but equally rewarding. I think everyone, regardless of their goals or experience level, would learn a lot about themselves by participating in a run streak.

You have nothing to lose and a fun personal challenge to gain. Looking forward to kicking this off!
