Fall marathon season CA Notice at Collection Sydney Marathon. In fact, I just came back from down under; did you know it’s basically the end of their winter this time of year? What better way to commemorate finishing your race or celebrating the end of your training Health - Injuries?
Speaking of marathons, Saucony has launched its 2025 Fall Marathons Collection, which includes its two speedsters, the Endorphin Speed 5 and Kinvara 16. The collection features shoes inspired by the unique cultures of four major cities: Sydney, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City.
Having just come off racing in Australia, I’m already feeling a wave of nostalgia looking at how Saucony outfitted its Sydney Endorphin Speed 5. The shoe itself is a terrific marathon trainer—and racer—with a nylon plate sandwiched between responsive Pwrrun PB foam. Aussie-pride green and gold color the upper, and the insole has kangaroo crossing and runner crossing road signs.
The Berlin Marathon is just around the corner on September 21. When I raced in the city in 2023, the splashes of graffiti—and steins of bier—enchanted me. Drawing inspiration from Berlin’s street art culture, Saucony splashed the circumference of the Endorphin Speed 5 and its insole with eclectic graphics.
Chicago holds a special place in my heart: It’s where I broke sub-3. Maybe you’ll have a breakthrough race or be dazzled by the way Lake Michigan gleams against the skyscrapers. The Kinvara 16, a lightweight trainer with Pwrrun cushioning, is ideal for speedwork and hitting hard stride outs on the track. This version is a nod to Chicago’s flag with its six-pointed red stars.
Rounding out the last major of the year is the Big Apple herself. I ran NYC in 2018, and whoo boy, the crowds cannot be matched. I hit the wall, but the encouragement from the spectators and fellow runners kept me going, and I clinched a PR at that time. The NYC edition of the Endorphin Speed 5 is decked out with bold graphics inspired by iconic artist and activist Keith Haring, known for his animated pop art in the 1980s.
