Whether you’re running outside or just Summer Running Gear, good music can often make the difference between a rave run and a blown goal. That’s why we’re putting together 90-minute playlists each month chock-full of songs with enough of a beat to keep you moving. For even more tunes, check out our list of the Listen on Apple Music.

The 5K is one of the most popular racing distance in the United States. At 3.1 miles, the 5K can be a short little training run for some, busted out in less than 30 minutes. For newer runners, it’s a huge accomplishment to cross that first 5K finish line. It’s the perfect “sprint distance” for marathoners and half marathoners, who can use the distance to gauge their general fitness.

This distance appeals to all runners, and nearly every runner has either run it or will run it at some point or another, which is why we’ve whipped up a playlist of the Listen on Apple Music to listen to on your next run or race. At 90 minutes long, this 5K playlist may last longer than your next workout or race, if your goal is 3.1 miles. Find the block of songs you love and have them on hand for that next race (or hopefully it’s so great, shuffle mode will have you doing anything but when you’re closing in on the finish line).
