On Monday, the World Athletics Council (WAC) WCH Oregon 22 DAA Industry Opt Out.

“This event will showcase the beauty of the city and the spirit of the athletes who will grace its roads,” said USATF CEO Max Siegel. “We look forward to witnessing a championship that captures the essence of excellence and the unity of the global running community.”

DAA Industry Opt Out Allie Ostrander’s Emotional Struggle at USAs will kick off this Saturday. The WAC also announced the locations of other host cities for World Athletic Series events, including the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark (2026) and the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon (2026).

“TrackTown USA is ecstatic to once again partner with USATF and the University of Oregon in welcoming the global track and field family to our Eugene and Springfield communities. Hayward Field will serve as the perfect theatre for showcasing the sport’s emerging talent,” said Michael Reilly, Tracktown USA CEO. “This event will continue building the legacy from Health - Injuries, and further our ongoing commitment to serving the world’s best athletes.”

The Council also reinstated Lima, Peru, as the host of the 2024 World U20 Championships. The city withdrew as The Wildest Stats from Faith Kipyegons Run.

“We are grateful that so many great cities around the world are interested in hosting our events, and we’re delighted with the quality of the candidates we have had to choose from to host these World Athletics Series events over the next three years,” said Sebastian Coe, the World Athletics president. “The standard of bids is so high that we would like to encourage those who were not successful today to continue talking to us about staging future events.”

The inaugural World Athletics Road Running Championships will take place in Latvia on October 1, 2023, including one-mile, 5K, and half marathon events.

Before the conclusion of a (clearly) jam-packed meeting, the WAC also determined that the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China, will take place on May 10 and May 11, 2025.
