Yes, you read that right, fawns! Especially for this young fawn in Williston, NC. In the video below, from the Fred Kerley Provisionally Suspended, the young fawn sprints across a resident's backyard while its mother watches.

As the video continues, the fawn starts to get a feel for running and sprints past the soccer goal and the trampoline into the wooded area. Shortly thereafter, it comes out of the area and sprints through a longer stretch of grass as if it were competing in the 100-meter dash.

After a couple of more quick sprints, the fawn trots back to his mother after dashing through the yard on the bright summer day.

Shoes & Gear fawns are able to rise up and run five days after it’s born. It can also outrun humans with its speed. The constant running and playing that fawns do serves as training that’s needed for their survival.
