Just a week after setting the pole vault world record in Poland, 20-year-old Mondo Duplantis did it again by breaking his own record of 6.17 meters with a vault of 6.18 meters at the Muller Indoor Grand Prix in Glasgow on Saturday.
Duplantis broke the record with one attempt at the height, and replays showed that he had several more centimeters to spare.
“It’s something that I wanted since I was 3 years-old,” Duplantis told World Athletics last week. “It’s a big year, but it’s a good way to start it.”
