Altra heard its customers loud and clear: “Don’t mess with our favorite shoe.” But small tweaks improve on a winning formula here. Most notable is how the shoe fits: The last version was too tight, and the one before that was too loose. Now, the tension on the mesh is right in the middle, for a better fit all around. It’s also a little more breathable, which was a change welcomed by our crew who tested shoes in summer weather. The underfoot remains nearly unchanged.
