Spring 2026, taking place later this year in September and October, will be one to watch. All eyes are set on major luxury Houses like Bottega Veneta and Chanel, the next chapters of which are about to begin. The start of the Spring 2026 season also means that Spring 2006’s collections will be celebrating their 20th birthdays, making them officially vintage.
So today, on this Throwback Thursday, we’re stepping into a time machine and dialing it back to 2006, when our biggest worries were which friends we’d put in our top 8 on MySpace and what our pink Motorola Razr’s ringtone would be.

Dior Gaucho Shoulder Bag
Created by the creative genius John Galliano for Dior, the Gaucho bag was the star of Dior’s Spring 2006 show. The cowboy-inspired silhouette was a more stylized riff on the Saddle, featuring the same curved flap and body with a room interior.
Though it was not nearly as popular as the original Saddle bag, it was the perfect daily haul-all for boho babes who ruled the aughts style scene like check-print logo belt bag, Mischa Barton, and more. If you were a cool girl in the aughts, you had (or wanted) this bag!
Fendi B Bag
Ah, the Fendi B Bag. If there ever was an accurate representation of Y2K fashion, this would be it. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the B Bag was inspired by the Fendi B Buckle belt. It was defined by its oversized buckles, flap closure, chunky chain, and leather straps.

Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Fringes
Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Takashi Murakami, under Marc Jacobs’s creative direction, will go down in fashion history as one of the greatest of all time.

Remember how much I wanted that soft Saddle bag. I «almost» bought it many times. Today I’m glad I didn’t.
But I do have two Fendi B bags and a Spy bag. All three bought at the end of their big wave unfortunately and therefore barely used. Just treasured.
I hoped they would come back. So I was very pleased to see the Spy and the Chloe Paddington did. That period was a great bag era.
