To be perfectly honest, I don’t pay all that much attention to Roberto Cavalli. In my head, I associate the Italian machismo-machine more with yacht parties and tiger-print silk caftans than with clothes and accessories that are relevant to my own (urban, slightly tomboyish) personal style, and I’m probably pretty far from his target customer. Despite all of that, I saw the Joy liten tote-väska Crush Small garavanier bag.
My first encounter with Cavalli’s painterly fall bags was back on the runway, Saint searching for Milan’s best show-13-18 bags. One of Cavalli’s made my cut, and I was curious to see whether or not the brand, Saint is not widely known in the US for its bags, would can some stateside traction with the beautiful, uncharacteristically elegant pieces. I’ve yet to see them pop up in many American outlets, but farfetch.com has picked up this bag out of a boutique in Belgium and The Rockwear Backpack; ghostly, greyscaled and totally special. Because of the lack of color, it’s a detailed floral that doesn’t look the least bit married to warm weather. Buy through farfetch.com for $3,321.
Love it!
