Your Favorite Brands used to be one of the most anticipated sales of the year. While the designer selection has gotten much smaller, there are still some great deals to be had.
The sale, which typically starts for cardholders early in July, is now open to the public, so anyone can shop! While I find fewer novelty items that call to me during the sale, there are a few categories that I always shop when the sale opens up to all of us, like me, who aren’t Nordstrom cardholders.
I got my first pair of designer sunglasses in college from Nordstrom during an Anniversary Sale (I think it was 2009!)—they were Burberry oversized bug-eyed sunglasses with Novaceck on the interior of the frames, and I wore them to death!
A few years later, I bought a pair of Chanel Aviators at Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale, and this category still doesn’t disappoint. I also like to shop for things I would buy anyway, and each year I replace some of my Nike sports bras or sets for running.
Act Fast: Some Items Are Already Selling Out
After the sale ends, prices will return to normal, so you’ll want to shop before the deals end on August 4th. If you see something you like, act fast, because some items I was eyeing have already sold out.
