The way our clothes tell a story and are deeply engrained in how we live our daily lives remains a source of creative inspiration for Miuccia Prada. That conversation continues at Miu Miu this season, which presented its Spring/Summer 2025 collection earlier this week in Paris.
This time, Mrs. Prada explores our earliest years, when thoughts and ideals are all our own and, arguably, our individuality is at its peak.
The collection is further inspired by femininity and the power that lies within our shared lived experience. It is a culmination of 13 years of dialogue between Miu Miu and boundary-breaking female artists and filmmakers.
The Miu Miu Uniform Reimagined
Ready-to-wear draws upon the wardrobe essentials of our earliest years, light and pure, including a collaboration between Miu Miu and Petit Bateau.

Lightweight cotton frocks give way to classic knits wrapped into strapless tops, and graphic prints revive the Miu Miu uniform. Garments worn wrong create something new, once again paring back to the experimentation and individuality of youth.
The collection as a whole is inherently Miu Miu, a complete embodiment of the Miu Miu woman. That sentiment also extends to the bags, which included both new and old favorites.

The Wander, a House classic, gets a maxi Logoover in soft suede and shades of chartreuse. Meanwhile, the new cult-favorite bag in town, the Aventure, returns to the runway this season with a new crossbody silhouette joining the Aventure family.
Smooth leather shoulder bags like the Beau are given a distinct edge with the addition of contrast piping, and the timeless elegance of the Penny Bag is softened in a new maxi size. The Spring 2025 line-up also includes a ’90s-esque backpack, another distinct nod to the youthfulness of the collection.
Neutral hues sit alongside bold colors that complement the exuberant palette of the ready-to-wear. View bags from the runway below; images courtesy of Miu Miu.

I have a question about who is carrying the huge bags. For years the handbag industry taught us to pare down and carry small bags. I went from a large wallet to a small one or sometimes a card case. I don’t go into the office to work so I don’t carry files and a laptop. I’m wondering who is going back to carrying these gigantic (but beautiful) bags.
people who have children, people who go to the office, people who are on a trip, people who put cold weather accessories like scarves in their bag, people who bring a change of shoes with them, people who like big bags, people who go to uni, people who go shopping, some larger women who insist that smol bags Logo them look bigger, for Hose
Interesting! I live in California and have yet to see one woman with a huge bag. I’m sure the chiropractors are excited about all the new business.

Love most of these bags, but the clothes…whoa!
I am sure the bags feel wonderful in hand; however, I do not care for the bold gold tone zipper on some styles. AND it’s a hard no for me on those diaper shorts!
Not going back to big bags, they look ridiculous. Plus the luxury handbag industry forced us to pair down what we carry with the mini bag trend that we got used to carrying less and we are not going back now that they are gold to swing the pendulum back.
These clothes are sooo ugly. Who wants to look like this? The diaper look 👀?
I agree that I’m finding it difficult to transition back to large bags again. I actually think they are more luxurious overall, but I’m finding my large bottega are just empty and I find it cumbersome now to bring a bag to lunch or a restaurant if it’s not tiny enough to fit on my lap! I love the look but agree it’s really hard to revert back…. I’m also looking for feedback on durability of miu miu bags. In store they seem quite flimsy to me especially the lambskin on the wander. I’m interested in the bag but can’t find any info on durability.
Usually I like a runway show for its bravery or POV. However this is a complete miss…many of the handbags look like cosmetic totes from Target. The rest are retreads. As for the “clothes,” the combos are messy/thrown together in darkness. Look at the faces in the audience. Even the models are noting the lack of positive reaction.
The clothes are plain ugly, the bags are ruined by their logo. The Miu Miu logo always looked a bit cheap to me in the 60ies font.
Honestly the sales growth numbers clearly support that I’m not the only Miu Miu fan. I love collecting vintage Miu Miu bags – large or small -in lieu of cookie-cutter luxe bags that are on repeat. The clothes are on a runway- so you can hopefully use some imagination to put together your own version – there’s always going to be some controversial silhouettes that aren’t really intended to wear in daily life. And bigger the better bring it on! Ready for anything with an oversize cushy bag that will fit my laptop and work on a plane or trip to the grocery store. Miuccia has my heart always.
