There are very few things that are a guarantee when it comes to fashion, and more specifically handbags. Bags that you thought would never disappear sometimes do fade away into retirement while styles you thought would remain buried forever often come back to life—belt bags we’re talking to you. However there is one thing that handbag lovers can be sure of, and today that’s what we’re here to discuss. If you haven’t guessed it yet, we’re talking about price increases. Louis Vuitton has quietly, but not so subtly in some cases, increased its prices as of yesterday. Ver todas las bolsas Louis Vuitton Accessoires accessoires and we started digging around ourselves to see what we could find. Today we’re here to take a look at what’s changed.
For starters, one of the brand’s most popular new designs of 2019 received a major price increase. The Louis Vuitton 2007 pre-owned Damier Ebène Florentine belt bag has a new price tag of $1,860, which is a major increase given that the Multi Accessoires’s debut price was just $1,550 back in September. Shortly thereafter the brand increased the price to $1,640, but it now clocks in at close to $1,900. In just 6 months time the price of the Multi Accessoires has increased by a whopping 20%.
Additionally, you could have snagged the beloved Onthego GM tote in Reverse Monogram Canvas for $2,480 back in February, but now it will cost you $2,690. Conversely, the Louis Vuitton 2006 pre-owned Chelsea tote bag increased in price by $400 and will now cost you $3,350. Another noticeable increase took place on one of Louis Vuitton’s newest bags. The Louis Vuitton LV Boombox Sneakers Shoes 1A87Q2, which we just reported on in early March, increased by $140 coming in at $2,900.
Fans of classic Monogram bags like the Neverfull, Speedy and Alma will also notice some changes as well. Speedy models seemed to have increased in price by $60 across the board, while Neverfull’s saw an increase of $70. In fact, some searches on the Louis Vuitton website are still generating an old price until you add the item to your cart.

Accessories also saw a price increase. For example, the Trio Pouch, which debuted earlier this year at $1,250 only to be raised to $1,350 shortly thereafter, saw an increase in price of $40. Although a deep dive into this latest increase shows that prices have gone up on LV bags across the board, some have shot up more than others. We’ve also noticed that the more popular the bag, the more you’ll now have to pay for it. Not to mention, new releases Pre-Loved Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Speedy Bandouliere 30 like the Onthego and the Speedy have already gone up in price.
We’ve compiled a list below based on searches (which had yet to generate the new prices in some cases) and information from the Louis Vuitton 2007 pre-owned Pegase briefcase to compare it to prices currently listed on the Louis Vuitton website. Take a look below at some of the increases we discovered and let us know if you’ve noticed a price increase on the bag you’re lusting after.

Oh LV…. they are making canvas bags harder and harder to get. (And maybe less desirable? Or does this make people want them more because they are more expensive?)
They are making them outside of France, which I feel makes them less special, sorry to say, but it doesn’t feel luxurious. Many of these bags are now built in a factory assembly line, not in some special atelier…and yet they still raising the prices (and taking tax breaks) I personally wouldn’t buy an almost $2k canvas bag.
With so many LV bags out there, maybe this will start to make them more exclusive, by pricing people out of the brand? It’s certainly not because they are offering better quality or service.

The greed of Louis Vuitton is appalling! They just raised their prices in late February/early March and they are raising them again in May? I bought a bag on February 18th, but returned it because it was grossly flawed and when I was refunded the price of the bag had increased over $150.00? The world is trying to recover from an epidemic, which affected the economy worldwide, and this is their response? Are they seriously out of touch with reality?
At this rate, Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischenShops needs to title their article “May 2020” prices increases than just “2020.” These brands are making quarterly price increases. This isn’t happening on an annual basis anymore.
Зимові жіночі черевики louis vuitton лоуис вуитон
Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Giant Monogram%!!!
I think that it’s in very poor taste. I guess they have to recoup the cost some how but this is not the time. They also probably do not want regular people buying there bags so they raise the prices but what they need to under stand is that the preloved market is huge. Also the prices of these bags no longer reflect the quality. I had to have my neonoe replaced in 2018 after having it for a four months due to it coming apart. At this rate, when it comes to LV I just stick to some of the SLGs and even those have iffy quality Speedy on what you purchase.
What is “regular people”?
Are “regular people” like “common folk”?!
Money is money…it’s all green and spends the same
I agree with you about poor taste. What was LV thinking with another price increase? Not a good time. A lot of “regular” people buy LV. I see Neverfulls everywhere as other styles, in the supermarket, Target and Walmart. The brand is over saturated. If LV wants to be exIusivr maybe they should stop selling online. I have one LV bag in the Damien Azur and I think that might be it fit now.
REALLY? NOW? Like now, now, this really needed to happen now?
Bad timing, yes. Unfortunately they will get away with it as long as people keep buying their stuff. Money talks, and if enough people say no with their wallets, LV will have to rethink.
People will continue to buy LV bags. It’s the favorite brand of the keep up with Joneses crowd.
I’m sure it was in the works since before the pandemic, but still….how tone deaf in these times. Disappointing
I have to agree with Veronica also. Now is NOT the time to raise prices. There have been a few articles lately about luxury taking a big hit because of this Covid19 shutdown and not coming back for some time. They are assuming Sarah priorities will change. Why give us yet another reason to not spend $2K+ on a bag???
LV has to recoup the small bucks spent on making masks and hand sanitizer to look good in the media. Now it’s time to get us customers to foot the bill of their “philanthropic pursuits ” #boycott LV #poor quality #poor taste
I just said this on the recent Chanel price hike article. They’ll use these price increases to justify their philanthropic contributions and the fact that less bags are being manufactured so there’s less stock means each piece is more “coveted”/”rare”
LOUIS VUITTON Eye-Trunk Monogram Eclipse IPhone 7 Case LAST CALL!
Well said Veronica! I just can’t justify LV’s price and their poor quality products. I do believe that no longer quality control at LV, and they just became so greedy to make more money.
I have returned a Accessoires Métis just less than 3 months ago due to edge problem. I have only used 2 times since I have purchased it and kept it well condition. However I’ve noticed that each edge looked a bit weak and sticky when I touch the edge. No one could explain at LV when I took it but they gave me a new Métis instead…. I hear some quality issues from people I know and from google articles.
It is indeed bad time for Louis Vuitton had to increased price. Oh wait I remember that Bernard Arnault Chief Executive LVMH has lost so much money recently so I guess he wants to keep up his own income position at high level in the world.
It is not the time to raise prices based on current nature of the virus situation. There are so many people are dealing with serious finance issues and lots of people have lost their life!
Don’t know other people but this Corona Virus taught me about what’s my priority in my life. So I will say good bye to Louis Vuitton and save my money to secure my life just in case if we end up deal with a new virus ? in the near future.
Yes, ever since LV got owned by LVMH, the quality has been going down. It used be that canvas was indestructible, but now it’s thin and the corners show wear and tear only after about a year of use. I am glad Hermes manages keep the company in the family, otherwise, the epitome of greed that’s called Bernard Arnault would make the brand pedestrian, quality-wise.
Well sort of. It’s publicly traded but they own 51% of the stock so…
U.S. online prices for mini Accessoires accessoires price today (5.6.20) rose to $365 from $350 (+4.3%) and the Escale mini Accessoires went to $595 from $550 (+8.2%).
Speedy 35 Bandoulière is over 2000 CAD$ in Canada! This used to be the price for a Alma Pm in epi leather!
I was already a “hard pass” on LV – and this definitely cemented my feelings. Completely tone deaf.
Chanel is raising their prices next week… 7-17% on classic flaps, boy bags, and the common bag styles.
I’m loving the second hand market, especially for Chanel. Finding bags that I missed and remember fondly. I’ll continue to do this with all these price increases.
With the retail price increases, the second hand market will also increase their prices, especially for items that are still being made (like classic flaps).
Certainly but it is a slower drip. I’ve been focusing on a) novelty bags and b) 2.55 reissues
I just saw that too. Too bad that won’t come with anything remotely justifiable, like increased quality, innovative designs, leather that is dyed all the way through so it doesn’t scuff to brown, hardware that doesn’t chip, bags without significant defects etc. Or, you know, Karl still around 😉
Quality was plummeting even under Karl’s lead. At this rate, JC Penney and Macy’s sell better quality bags than LV and Chanel. I’m ABSOLUTELY open to anyone trying to change my mind. I wish this wasn’t true but it is!
It seems LV has had two price increase so far in 2020. I’ve watched the Empreinte Accessoires Métis go up two times since I’ve had my eye on it since Jan 2020. Also, noticed Artsy has had two increases. I bought mine in Jan and then saw the price go up not long afterwards. Now it seems to have gone up again. Ugh
This is why I’m so turned off by this company now.
I was a fan of the brand for years but the vibe they put out with their ridiculous pricing and increases is disheartening.
I will no longer be a customer of their’s.
They decide to drop a price increase NOW of all times? Says a lot about their values as a brand.
Lately I’ve been appreciating brands like Demellier and Polene. Excellent craftsmanship and quality. Because of the covid situation, Demellier sent me a 65.00 gift card email to be used through the end of the month. Very cool.
I’m planning on using it on their “Florence” bag that I’ve been eyeing for months.
Disgusting. They JUST raised prices less than 2 months ago and an even bigger price hike now? Do you really think the timing is appropriate?
I understand that price increases are inevitable but they couldn’t have picked a worse time…
I don’t like the price increase any more than all the other commenters but whine about Louis Vuitton is raising prices during a pandemic is tone deaf is a little moronic. Their products are not a necessity in any way, not buying them will not affect the lives of people in any aspect, and luxury market is priced “premium” just because it’s a luxury products. If you can’t afford it, just don’t buy it. You all are acting like they sell toilet paper or PPE and that your lives depend on it.
We have a right to an opinion just like you do. I don’t agree with you but I’m not going to say your opinion is moronic.
Thank you!!! So tone deaf!
Pre-owned White Cotton Louis Vuitton Jacket.
Says person who’s blasting another’s opinion cuz it conflicts with yours.
You: It’s wrong to attack a person’s opinion.
Also you: Make a personal attack on a person stating their opinion on the general topic, not even a particular opinion.
??
BTW, I’m bummed about the price increases too. But MY OPINION is that ME getting upset about a $2k getting increased to $2100 while people are dying or not having an income at all is ME being ridiculous and out of touch with reality. Of course, I am entitled to be upset and angry, and I’m welcome to express it but it’s still out of touch with reality.
Slow your roll people are just sharing their own feeling for bags. Not sure if know but uh…that’s what this whole site is about… Maybe people can still have hobbies and things they look forward to not even buying, just wishing for during terrible times, that doesn’t take away from someone’s ability to also be a healthcare worker (like myself) or a parent at home sowing masks for their neighbors and working and teaching their kids all at the same time. Just because we share our opinions here doesn’t mean we’re just at home whining all day over LV price increase.
I’m not saying you can’t whine. I’m just saying the few people that said “LV shouldn’t raise prices Mochila Louis Vuitton Editions Limitées Nigo Campus en lona a cuadros ébano y cuero natural” is moronic. There’s a difference.
writing in bold isn’t going to get your point across any better or share how you feel you can just call people morons think they’ll will be cool with that
didnt know CANVAS prices went up. ridiculous!
Guys! Listen up! LV is not forcing you to buy their products. If you can afford their bags, go get one. But if you can’t, stay out of it and look for other options. There are a lot of brands in the Market. Again, it’s up to you and your means whether you get a new bag with their updated prices or not.
They are not forcing us, but this is a BLOG where people are free to express their opinions, right? :o)
Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Clapton?
Exactly! ?
Yes! It’s not an essential product. You don’t need it to survive the pandemic.
Exactly! So what if there is a pandemic, LV didn’t ask you to buy their bags during this Covid era. Ask yourself, “Do I need a new bag with new price? Or I’ll buy food first to survive this pandemic?”. Again, if they increase their prices during this bad situation so be it. Just buy more important things than their pricey bags.
To me this was expected. They are trying to stay competitive as a top tier luxury brand. Every single other company has raised their prices. Fortunately COVID-19 did not change a lot for me in regard to employment and my budget and this doesn’t bother me as much as Chanel. But needless to say if you paid $1000 or over on purse before I don’t think we have the room to complain about how out of touch a company is. (This not belitting anyone’s opinion, this is mine). Stay safe everyone.
Prices on sneakers (the new Escale) went up too. From 925 to 1040.
Purses I stick with the classics. Alma specifically. But I love the sneakers. Yes they are insanely priced but the time out sneakers are great quality and super comfortable. I have a pink pair and they are like new and the new Escale is cool too. Those went up from 925 when I bough them a few weeks ago to 1,040. I’m glad I got them before the increase. I couldn’t and wouldn’t spend above 1000 on a pair of sneakers.
Wow, so now stating an opinion is whining and being tone deaf. I don’t care what they raise their prices to cause I have zero interest in buying any but people are still entitled to say them raising the price now is just ridiculous and out of touch with reality.
LV seems to be adjusting prices on the fly. I’ve noticed the Nice Mini go in and out of stock for the last few months and each time it returns the price is higher. I think it was originally released last fall at $725 USD… By the time I found one in stock in March it was $875. Later in April I noticed on the website it was $900. This morning the website has the price listed at $945. I purchased a Nice BB for $900 in 2019!
I think LV is adjusting prices on the fly based on supply and demand. I was finally able to find a mini Nice in store for $875 in March. The bag debuted last fall at $725 USD. I noticed in April the bag was out of stock and then returned at a $900 price point. This morning it’s listed at $945 on the website. To contrast, that’s more than the Nice BB I purchased in 2019 for $900! I believe Nice BB is retailing at over $1200 now. Just seems really crazy but I suppose if the demand is there they’ll keep doing it.
I guess they are trying to make up for financial losses
Lol my Tory Burch Gemini tote which is coated canvas like LV and a never-full style looks better and is made better than the never full purchased on sale for 149? less than a tenth of the price
WTF how can they increase their Not Available bags! All the bags I want is always NOT AVAILABLE, March and May I’ve been stalking their store and also online. Always none. And now they increase their price! CRAZY
Ridiculous! I’m not sure who can or who would buy a bag right now. I think I’ve used a handbag 3 times in the past 2 months and they are the smallest ones I own. No way would I pull out a large or really nice bag right now. Not to mention everywhere is closed where am I taking one. They aren’t really smart in doing this as I hope more and more people start to realize how much better it is to spend $ on different things these days.
I was curious about timing too but I feel this increase may have more to do with spending patterns in China, which is one of their biggest markets. There has been a recent uptick of spending in China and LV want to make the most of it.
Also, their production facilities have been closed for months or making other things. So, there is obviously not a flood of stock.
But is terrible that as a company they have very little values and seem out of touch with Sarah feelings right now, how about making some special limited edition bags and donating the profits to healthcare instead?
Support the resale market instead. Its better for the environment and sustainability.
LV, Chanel, Hermes, Rolex, Apple, you NAME it…will increase their prices. It would not be luxury if prices stayed the same with time. Your healthcare costs will increase. Your grocery bills in rise. We can sit and bitch about price increase or go out and increase our income streams.
I believe the timing on Louis Vuitton to increase prices is ridiculous. Greedy! There was already an increase a few months ago. I basically feel as if we the consumer are the ones paying for these so called free donated mask that Louis Vuitton so graciously gave away! They want to look like the hero / good guy all the while sticking to us loyal customers/ consumers! It’s not right nor ethical and I won’t be purchasing anything anytime soon from LV. There are many other lux brands I can spend my money on !
With millions of people unemployed during this crisis, LV has the nerve to raise prices??
They should give discounts at a time like this, especially to first responders, healthcare workers and front line people as a thank you because without them, they wouldn’t be in business!
I was thinking of buying a LV handbag for Mother’s Day but not anymore!
Really out of touch to do this now and considering the quality has decreased over the years. Chanel should also be criticized
That’s OK. I am fine with buying Coach. People, if you only get mad but not walking away from this greasy brands, they will keep doing increasing price increase. Because… why not?
I think the timing of the price increase is unfortunate, especially if you were saving for a special purchase. They are a company that exists to earn profits and are likely looking at a dramatically different sales experience going forward. With social distancing constraints that will likely be in place for some time, I would imagine they are going to face less a lot in stores purchases while continuing to have high overhead for their retail locations. I think we will see prices in essentials rise for some time due to manufacturing and supply chain disruptions and that is more concerning for society than an increase in a “luxury” item. LV always has price increases and in more recent years I experienced more quality issues and have had to wait for for items to restock. Demand is high, inventory is low and they can raise prices and we will still buy the items. If people are truly offended, stop purchasing from LV.
Higher prices and worse quality. I’m done.
I think what everyone here is missing is LV is trying to ween out the ordinary buyer and become more exclusive. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a global health crisis or not because the people that can afford them with no problem aren’t affected financially as of now.
This is exactly the reaction they want.
Personally I never thought a brown canvas bag was worth anything. Just my personal opinion.
I been wanting a Louis Vuitton purse fo a long time at these prices I guess I will never be able to own one
Anyone heard about the rumored LV price increase June 2020 slated for the 11th ? Is this true ?
Initially, I thought my eyes were seeing things! Then I thought I was on an international site for LV.
Hmmm…I was planning a birthday treat to myself and then I noticed that the price was not the same before so I decided to google LV price increase. Not happening!
