These two key pieces in my wardrobe get endless use and always receive compliments, and both are from Lafayette 148, New York. The design is what you’d expect, with a mix of sculptural and soft pleating with the smooth nappa leather and the hinged frame design. Want to know an elegant touch that I wouldn’t expect? Cashmere lining! There’s also a small interior pocket.

Another option that makes a huge difference to me regarding a bag is the removable shoulder strap. I love a pouch design, but I also really need a shoulder strap to be an option, and this bag has it. Dimensions are 6.5″ H X 14″ L, which should fit necessities. Lastly, the price! With prices rising across the board, seeing an option under $1,000 is refreshing.
