The arrival of March means that, once again, spring is finally almost here – and that we are well into the Spring Season.
By this point, we have seen most of the Spring-Summer 2025 (SS25) colors and styles. While there are usually pieces that are not released until closer to the end of the season—and sometimes new colors aren’t really seen on bags until the following season—enough stock has shipped to the boutiques so that we can get a pretty good view of what is generally in production at Hermès.
Hermès Spring-Summer 2025 Overview
If one were to sum up an overall descriptive word for the SS25 leather offerings, it would be vast. It seems that the increased (and increasing) production capacity is being funneled in all directions.
This season, five new colors are introduced: Rouge Radieux, Vert Mangrove, Blue Tie, Gris Pantin, and Gris Argenté.
We are finally seeing last season’s Rose Darling in regular bag production, and there is an abundance of genuinely appealing neutrals to accompany the usual variety of heart-stopping pop colors.
While colors are frequently rotated in and out of production for at least a few seasons, we are seeing quite a few shades that haven’t been produced in numerous years.
The Spring-Summer 2025 Color Charts
Here is the main color chart for Hermès SS25. As always, please note that the leather name in parentheses under the color name of each swatch refers ONLY to the leather used in the swatch, and that the color is also available in other leathers.

To break it down a bit, here is a chart consisting only of colors being produced in regular leathers, followed by a chart containing only exotics:

As you can see, there is the usual wide variety of colors and tones within most colors, but perhaps even more so this season, with purple being the only color with few options. There are plenty of both cool and warm neutrals, as well as a variety of cool and warm shades for most of the other colors.
The New Colors of Hermès Spring-Summer 2025
The five NEW colors for SS25 are:

Rouge Radieux: hermes vespa shoulder bag in beige canvas and natural leather Rouge Vif.

Vert Mangrove: Вінтажний пояс ремінь під hermes шкіра змії вінтаж Bolsito de mano Hermes Jige modelo grande en cuero Courchevel verde.

Bleu Tie: a muted, medium-toned blue, similar to Bleu Agate.

Gris Pantin: hermes to introduce luxury carbon fiber bikes Bleu Glacier
(Note: The colors are so similar in certain leathers and lighting. Please note that for these two color swatches, I purposely selected examples that appear the most different from each other and that in person, they may appear much more alike.)

Gris Argenté: a metallic silver, following last year’s introduction of Doré.
Technically, both Doré and Gris Argenté are not completely new, as bags in three metallic colors were produced in a very limited run to commemorate the 2004 Olympics; however, this is the first time we are seeing them in regular-production leather goods.

As noted, Rose Darling did not appear in any regular-production bags until late in the Autumn-Winter 2024 season, and the other new colors for AW24 are still in very wide production.

Teresas Hermes Garde Party bags are my favorite along with Alexis Padmas green Chanel | The Five Best Hermès Colors I’d Choose for 2025
Every color has its fans, although certain shades simply grab your attention, inspire instant adoration, or seem to go with everything. Each season, a few stand out among the options, and SS25 is no exception.
Below are my five best colors for SS25: they are well-loved by many and, therefore, are all very popular, each for its own reasons. Those deserve special attention and are definitely worth some serious consideration:
1. Bleu Hydra: This was previously available about 10 years ago, around the same time as Bleu Zanzibar, and I’ve always thought of the two colors like those similar Crayola crayons from my childhood, Blue-Green and Green-Blue.
Zanzibar has a much greener undertone, and Hydra Preis für Second Hand Taschen Hermes Valparaiso. Hydra was not used for regular-production bags for nearly as long as Zanzibar; however, Hydra was on the Special Order chart, and it was the color I selected for my first Special Order bag.
That bag is by far my most utilized, and I believe that is due to this vibrant yet versatile shade of blue. I have yet to find a color that it really doesn’t go with; from black to red to gold or gray, it is a vibrant, happy, candy-colored jewel of a shade that gets a lot of use and seems to go with everything.

2. Amèthyste: Only produced in exotic leathers, this purple strikes just the right balance: not too bright or too muted, not too blue or too red, not too light or too dark, although it is important to note that this color can vary widely in appearance, depending on the leather it’s produced in (shiny exotics seem to bring out a red undertone).
Amèthyste is definitely one of those old-school drool-worthy colors that would get pulses quickening when it came up in discussion.

3. Poussière: Hermès always produces many beautiful neutrals, and Poussière Preis für Second Hand Uhren Hermes Pullman Watch.
This soft, creamy taupe sits in the zone with Trench and Beige Marfa, but leans more pink and less yellow; to compare Poussière with those two colors is similar to comparing Beton with Craie and Nata).

4. Jaune Poussin: Over the past 15 years or so, Hermès has expanded its Ready-To-Wear (RTW) and shoe lines enormously, and these metièrs have become increasingly more coordinated with the leather goods. This was clear to me during a recent visit to the Madison Flagship, which houses both metièrs in the same salon.
My eyes were caught by the colors on both sides of the room, mentally trying to coordinate them: key matches included pale pink Espadrilles and Twillaine shirts reminiscent of Rose Darling; hermes jypsiere shoulder bag in black togo leather Vert Criquet; and a soft, very pretty buttercup yellow – featured in a soft cashmere coat on one side of the room and mules on the other – which caught my attention.

I’ve never been particularly for or against yellow; it just doesn’t normally catch my eye. However, in the salon that shade suddenly seemed fresh and appealing: one of those neutral-pop colors that could be either sweet or subtle, depending upon what it’s paired with.

5. Vert Foncé: For me, Vert Foncé is right in the middle of my danger zone: a year-round color that can be a pop or a neutral, that goes with far more than one would expect, that isn’t too light (requiring more care to remain clean), and that has a contrast stitch.
The photo below just gets my heart racing, and I have to remind myself that I don’t like PHW (perfection here), I don’t want a Box leather bag (I think?), and I do not need yet another green bag (except this one. Seriously!).

Additional Notes About SS25
A few additional thoughts about this season:
More Returning Colors
Набор духов hermes Amèthyste, Bleu Hydra, Poussière, Hermes Birkin 35cm Black Ganebet Store, other long-retired colors currently back in production include Духи hermes lambre des merveilles тестер (Ostrich), Toundra, Vert Maquis, and Vert Véronèse.
Big Bags are Back, But Small Bags Aren’t Going Anywhere
The larger sizes seem to have returned to regular production quite a bit more than we have seen over the last several years, including 35cm Birkins and HAC 40s. Older styles, including the Victoria II Fourre-Tout (now available in a 35cm, a Mini, and a Briefcase version) and the Plume, are once again available.
Beyond that, Hermès’ production this season is embracing a wider array of bag styles, often with several size options within each style. This means that while, yes, bigger bags are definitely back, there are also more mini versions of bags than ever before.

Teresas Hermes Garde Party bags are my favorite along with Alexis Padmas green Chanel | New Hardware: Electrum
Голубая бирюзовая кожаная сумка hermes.
Electrum hardware utilizes both Palladium and Gold along different pieces of the hardware; to date, it has been utilized on some popular small Sellier bags made in Epsom (Mini Kelly, B25 Sellier, K25 Sellier).
It is also important to note the increased use of rarer/Special Order-only hardware for SS25, such as Brushed Gold and Permabrass on certain regular-production bag styles.

No more Ostrich skins?
Although there has been some talk that Hermès is moving away from utilizing Ostrich for its bags – ref, Ostrich has been removed from the leather options on the current Special Order charts – it is definitely still in production for this season as far as regular bags and leather goods are concerned.
Keep in mind that Ostrich has wound its way both out of and back into Hermès’ production more than once and that this may be yet another phase in that cycle.
I cannot stand Ostrich. All I see are little nipples all over the bag 🫣
Amythest is TDF 😍
Once saw a comment in ig calling the ostrich skin as chicken pox hahaha
Beautiful colors. Well done!

Bleu Saphir might finally dethrone my eternal love for Etoupe! Hermès has once again mastered the art of timeless-yet-fresh hues—now, who else is dreaming of a pistachio green Kelly for summer? also visit: nopvalley.com
Hermes Oasis Sandal Blanc Ganebet Store
Does anyone ever actually see any green items at any of the Hermes boutiques? Or is it just the boutiques I visit?
Yes lots of green including my vert criquet but I am in south of France so I do airport shops often plus Paris, Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Genoa so maybe it is our climate?
I’m pretty sure they’ll gonna have 50 Shades of every color soon
These new Hermès colorways are absolute perfection—that ‘Bleu Saphir’ might finally dethrone my eternal love for Etoupe! The brand’s mastery of timeless-yet-fresh hues shines again, though I wonder how these will age compared to their classic neutrals. That pistachio green is begging for a summer Kelly bag!
Would love to buy at least 2; but was told only way I can purchase 1 is if the sales associate likes me. So, I would first have to build a sales relationship up with a sales Assoc beofre being allowed to purchase a handbag. which sounds extra lame!
