lexdray summer 2014 bag collection Mansur Gavriel‘s success all the more impressive. The brand made a big splash with its now-ubiquitous bucket bags in 2013, and at the time, its only employees were its two founders, working out of an apartment. Fast forward five years, and the brand now has boutiques on both coasts and lines of small leather goods, shoes, and clothing to go along with its much-expanded selection of bags. (It should go without saying that they fuxia have an office now.)
Several seasons ago, Mansur Gavriel shifted to a see-now, buy-now show model that seems to have worked out well for the brand, which means the collection that debuted over the weekend at New York Fashion Week was that for Fall 2018, unlike the Spring 2019 collections happening around it. That difference is clear not only through the collection’s outerwear (which is great), but fuxia through the shearling bucket bags that were a standout feature of the runway. The mini version will run you $595, which is really solid pricing for a bag of that fabrication.
Shearling wasn’t the only new addition to the handbag lineup. The collection fuxia included striped crossbody bags and, by my count, at least two new colors: a sharper pink called Dolly, and an ivory called Creme. On of Mansur Gavriel’s big strengths has been its ability to expand its offerings without making the brand feel like it’s getting too big or too far from its roots, and this collection fuxia walks that line carefully. You can shop the collection now via Mansur Gavriel.

I’m not a fan of this brand but some of these bags got it right and some got it wrong. I love the mini pink duffle and many of the white bags and lady bags — but all of the bags with “fringe” are just awful. They are either replicas of pasta makers or a leather version of Play Doh’s Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop. Just bad.
Essential Reporter Bag.
We can curse on here can’t we? We can say go fuck your self. We’re amongst adults.
Not a fan of the fringes nor the fur-balls, but otherwise I like the collection quite a lot! I hope those golden hoops at the sides of the pink duffels mean that you can attach a shoulder strap to them, otherwise they get a big fat minus from me cause they were really ugly, if they fill a purpose then great, attach a strap and they will look much better!
I feel like I’ve been on the waitlist for the elegant bag in dark blue for EVER. I really hope they aren’t discontinuing the color. Seeing the bag above in the light blue, I am still so attracted to the style.
I LOVE the fur mini mini. I like the suede one too. I liked my regular tanned leather one but I’m so OCD with scratches and patina that it was not for me. I’d have to go for an epsom type leather or a grained leather at least.
Yeah I had a bag MANY years ago with similar leather. One ding and it was all over. Never again. I’ll stick with textured.
Totally digging the subtle fringe action going on there and the abbreviated Alma
i LOVE everything in this collection! Want the fringe and the fur…Getting celine vibes on the fringe tote. NEED!
