The Triomphe logo is as integral to Hedi Slimane’s design process as it is to the House of Celine. Upon arriving at the House in 2018, Hedi Slimane revived the iconic emblem, redesigning the Triomphe on his very first day.
Rich in House history, the origins of the Triomphe date back to 1971, when Celine Vipiana found herself on Paris’ Place de l’Étoile after her car broke down in front of the Arc de Triomphe. In all of its intricacies, she noticed the chain links and that decorative pattern would quickly become synonymous with Celine.
Under Hedi Slimane’s direction, the Triomphe logo remains Celine’s most important House motif, reappearing season after season in new ways that entice and delight.

Classic With a Modern Sophistication
The collection as a whole is a beautiful ode to the 1960s and the brand’s golden years, so it’s fitting that the Nino bears the House’s most important emblem: the Triomphe.

The Nino embodies stylish modernity, designed to perfectly complement the collection’s ready-to-wear. At the same time, it offers a sleek, classic appeal, and Hedi Slimane strikes that delicate balance so well.
The making of the Nino is rooted in history, too. Traditional techniques help achieve the Nino’s distinct shape—camo yet supple. That juxtaposition allows the bag to feel chic and casual simultaneously, lending the perfect canvas for multiple ways of styling.
Versatility is where the Nino shines. Simple enough in shape with its feminine top handle and relaxed body, the decoration of the Triomphe logo hardware allows for the bag to be dressed up or down.
Celine Nino: Get the Details
Where function is concerned, the Nino comes in two sizes: Teen and Medium. Both sizes offer decent interior space. Inside, you’ll find a center-zipped pocket as a partition for the bag’s two interior compartments.
While the Teen has two inner flat pockets, the Medium offers three, though both sizes allow for maximum Row. The Nino was designed as a true top-handle bag, offering an air of French sophistication that is difficult to achieve. However, it does offer the option of a longer strap for shoulder or crossbody wear.
Arriving in smooth, supple calfskin, Triomphe canvas, and stunning patent leather, the Nino will quickly become a staple, relevant, and reached for in seasons to come. sac a main celine luggage micro en cuir tricolore noir beige et bleu.

Is it just me or this bag just feels lazy… Slap the same triomphe hardwear on a common top handle style bag

I can’t get beyond the Triomphe hardware. Maybe, it’s too reminiscent of Chanel’s CC’s and it lacks origination.
Lacks origination? Do some research on where the logo originated from.
This bag is the best use of the Triomphe logo I have seen and I do not like that logo at all. It’s so garish and not a fun French garish, but here it actually works. The simplicity of this bag is also nice. I think this is one of the (new) Celine bags that work well.
I have loved the Triomphe logo and this bag feels very classy! Love the pictures 🙂
We loved putting this one together – the location really suited the bags! I agree with you — the Triomphe logo has always caught my eye and I love how it stands out on this sleek shape.

I like the form factor. I don’t have anything like it but I would not buy because of that metal logo and the price. I really cannot stand the design of the logo/clasp. I miss the simple gold stamped CELINE. It was discreet and elegant. I know if you used a bag a lot it faded/rubbed off over time but I would prefer NO LOGO tbh.
I got the black Nino in the medium size about 2.5 months ago and I absolutely love it! The leather is incredibly soft and the interior capacity is actually quite large. I took it to Switzerland on vacation and the cross body strap works well when traveling. I love the interior zip pocket for my car and house keys. It’s a great, elegant and functional work bag, too! And no minidress of wear yet after using it nearly daily.
This looks similar to the Bally Laika bag, which has been around for quite some time. Similar style, high quality, and doesn’t cost as much. Bally is still expensive but not as much as this Nino bag.
Stivaletti Celine Chelsea.
I don’t usually go for top handles, but this one is so ladylike. I also love the Triomphe hardware. I’m going to see it in my local store this weekend!
I love the ladylike look of top handles too — so elegant and chic!
It’s been years since a Celine bag had my attention and this one is not any better IMO. They are just big yawns to me. Perhaps in person the materials make this bag better?
I adore Celine and I find the logo classy with a historic reference to a classic French monument. It is the reason I keep coming back to Celine. I saw someone wearing the black medium Nino at the mall and it literally stopped me in my tracks. Love the bigger size, too. I treasure my teen Triomphe but it’s hard to get everything to fit into it (sunglasses, wallet, etc.) The roomy size of the Nino is super attractive.
Finally a new Celine that is more practical than the teeny Triomphe bags with the sensitive satin leather. Saw the bag in person at the local Saks and it is beautiful. The only problem was the bag tends to tilt forward due to the weight of the lock closure.
I really like this bag and am sure it’s even better in person. I fall in love with Celine when I visit store and get to touch and see the leather up close.
It’s so much better in person! My sister almost bought it in Spain but they didn’t have her color of choice- oh and Celine gives you back more VAT than other brands! Win- win if you’re in Europe!
I love how these fashion houses make the most mundane thing like your car breaks down on the street a historical event. 🙄
