Nike Blazer Mid x READYMADE
DIY design and a nostalgic flair in the Nike x READYMADE Blazer Mid.
The first sneakers that Yuta Hosokawa, founder of READYMADE and basketball enthusiast, bought for himself were a pair of Nike. The nostalgia of those times is reflected today in these new Blazer Mid, nike magista opus white poison black and grey.
With an approach on deconstruction and DIY aesthetics, this model features a layered upper that combines 'splotched' foam and angular leather panels. The Swoosh has been subtly elongated and stitched, reminiscent of the 1971 version of the logo. The three pairs of laces add texture and a stacked effect.
The Japanese brand's upcycling values find a place in the sole thanks to the use of 15% Nike Grind: a material composed of factory scraps and worn-out sneakers. Finally, the textured midsole adds extra volume and completes the innovative yet traditional look of these Blazer Mid.
