Gingi Design Porcelain painting

Gingi Design: Carolin Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Oehringen

Painting has always been one of my passions and something beautiful for me. So one day my father gave me a course in porcelain painting at a friend's house ... it didn't stay with just one course, I did a couple of courses there straight away, but in the end it was a lot of learning by doing.... Porcelain painting is a fascinating old craft.

In Heidelberg, I had a great porcelain painting teacher from KPM for a while.
KPM = Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin has a history of 260 years. Frederick the Great founded this manufactory and a total of seven kings and emperors shaped the history of the house.

In the meantime, I still paint individual motifs by hand, if desired, but I now do a lot of design with decals..

...but even here, individual wishes are no problem and make the whole thing something very personal!
These are still applied by hand, dried and then fired in our own kiln at 820 degrees!
They are dishwasher-safe and can be combined and designed, customised, on any (glazed) porcelain piece, and in the desired number, size, etc., as the mood takes you.

At the EWF I will be exhibiting some of my self-designed porcelain and showing examples of the craftsmanship behind it. I have already mentioned that there will also be other motifs for fly-fishing and some hunting motifs on display. Many procelain pieces are currently in my kiln, on their way there or still on my workbench. In addition to plates and platters, bowls and dishes, I will also have mugs and cups.
For EWF visitors who make up their minds quickly, there will be ready-made porcelain pieces with various fish and fly fishing motifs for sale. For individual wishes I will also have a folder with patterns for inspiration.

I look forward to welcoming many interested EWF visitors at my stand on the ground floor of the Tenne.
