The Dior maison was born on December 16, 1946 at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, thanks to businessman Marcel Boussac's financing. On February 12, 1947, Dior launches its first collection consisting of two parts, Corolle and En Huit; universally recognized as New Look, following an enthusiastic statement from 'Harper's Bazaar' magazine. The success of the brand was fueled by the subsequent creative director, Yves Saint Laurent, until the crisis of the 1980s. Since 2017, Dior has been in the hands of the LVMH group, which bought the brand for 12 billion euros, relaunching its fortunes.
