Founded in 1919 by the Feinbloom brothers with the name "Knickerbocker Knitting Company", the brand represents a piece of US sportswear history. In the 1930s the company signs an agreement with the Michigan Wolverines to produce their uniforms and changed its name to "Champion Knitting Mills Inc.". Shortly thereafter, Champion products are purchased by the US Military Academy for training and tough P.E. sessions. From there begins a rapid rise in the NBA world and sports fashion.
